Procore Hot Tip - Emails

Emails

The Emails tool in Procore is useful for recording important email conversations.

This means that if a person is sick or on leave or otherwise unavailable, all required information is still available to the other CBC project team members.

Open the Emails tool.

Here you can view and search all emails recorded here, and create and assign Tags to related emails.

To record an email here, you can either:

• Send an email via Procore 
• Or send an email as usual with the projects Procore email address cc’d in

Send Via Procore

To send an email via Procore, click +Create Email in the right-hand tab.

Fill in the details the same way as a normal email.

At the bottom of the page you can link and related items using the search dropdown – if you link an item, the items details will be included in the email when you click Send.

Click Send.

The email will now be recorded in the Email tool, and a copy will be sent to your Outlook.

Send Via Outlook

The other method is to create an email in outlook as usual.

Create an email in Outlook as usual and enter all the relevant information.

Before you send, open the Procore Emails tool.

Look at the right-hand tab and click on the email address recorded in the Email Into Procore section. 

Copy/paste this email address to the cc line of your Outlook email, then send.

The email will now record in the Procore Emails tool – note that it may take a few minutes for the email to show in the Emails tool.

Tags

To easily groups or link emails in the Emails tool, you can use the Tag function.

To view existing Tags, look at the Tag section in the right-hand tab. 

To view the tagged emails, click on the relevant Tag name. 

To create a Tag, click +Create Tag in the right-hand tab. 

Enter the Tag name and click Create.

To tag an email, click and drag the Tag name from the right-hand tab onto the relevant email.
