Mobile App Photos
The Procore photos tool in the mobile app has many great uses on site.
It is good to take as many photos as possible when you are on site – this helps to show progress, and to ensure and record the quality of the work. It also helps to create a visual timeline of the works.
There is a Photos tool in the online version of Procore, but you can only view, download, and comment on photos from there. The uses described here can only be done in the mobile app.
General
To view photos already on Procore, tap on the Photos square.
To take photos you can either;
- Tap the + symbol in the Photos tile, then tap either Camera (to take a new photo) or Photos from Device (to select photos from your gallery)
- Tap on the Camera symbol at the bottom of the screen
If you are taking a new photo and tap the Camera options, you will be taken to your camera.
Tap the dropdown at the top to select which Album this photos is saved to.
If you do not select one, it will be automatically saved to the timeline, and you can copy it to an Album from there at a later date if needed.
Tap the pin symbol to link the photo to a Location.
Tap the drawings symbol to link the photo to a specific Drawing.
Mark Ups
To mark up a photo, open the Photos tool in the mobile app and open the photo you want to mark up.
Select the Markup option at the bottom of the screen.
When you have finished your mark ups, tap Save a Copy.
In the Photos tool you will now see the original photo, and the marked-up version.
Before and After
The main other useful tool for photos is the Before and After tool.
Open the photo and select Before and After at the bottom of the page.
Select a Before photo and tap Next.
Select an After photo and tap Next.
Select the preferred layout.
Review and tap Save to Photos.
