Defects/Snag List

What is called the Defects tool in the online version of Procore is sometimes called the Snag List in the mobile version. The Defects List and the Snag List are the same thing.

You can create new Defects/Snags by tapping into the Snag List tool and tapping the +. However, if you are creating new Defects/Snags as you are walking around site, the following is the best way to do so in order to ensure correct and accurate information is being entered:

In the main tools page of the app tap into the Drawings tool

• Find the general floor plan for the area of site you are in e.g. A101 Level 1 Floor Plan
• Find where the location of the defect in the drawing and pinch to zoom in on it
• At the bottom of the taskbar on the right of the screen tap Pin
  • Then tap Snag
  • Tap the place on the drawing where the Defect/Snag is located
     
    This will now bring up the Defect/Snag creation page

In the Defect/Snag creation page, tap +Create Snag Without a Template 

• In the next page you will enter the details of the Defect/Snag. Items marked with a * are compulsory, the rest of the items are optional 
• Tap the Camera button to take photos of the Defect/Snag
• Tap the Attachments button to link items from other tools e.g. an RFI, any Correspondence, an Incident etc.
• When all details are entered, tap Save & Finish

  

   

       This will create the Defect/Snag as a draft and will take you back to the Drawing to

        add more

When you have finished your walkthrough and added all the required Defects/Snags you will need to tap into the Defects List/Snag List from the main tools page

• Here you will see your newly created Defect/Snag items listed as Initiated
• There will also be a yellow alert bar at the top of the page asking you to send the items to the Defect Item Manager
  
• You can do this by tapping into each item, reviewing the information entered and adding details where necessary and then tapping Send in the Action Required bar
  
• If you are confident that you have already entered enough information select the items you want to issue and tap Send Items in the bottom right corner of the page
