What is the Procore documents tool?
The Procore Documents tool is primarily used for document sharing and viewing rather than editing. The Procore Documents tool is useful to see new documents added this week or to track changes to specific documents or files.
How does Procore documents work with Egnyte?
To avoid conflicted copies it is best to use the version in Egnyte for editing via the Co- Edit function. The project folder in Egnyte (T:\Shared\CookBrothers\Auckland\01 Current Projects\project name) will automatically sync with the Procore Documents tool, provided their file structures match.
Track documents
What is document tracking?
Tracking documents in Procore means you will be updated via email when changes are made to the file.
To track a document or file, click the i (information) symbol next to the title. This will open the information tab.
- In the information tab, click the Tracking dropdown arrow and select the Tracking tick box.
The information tab also has a Permissions dropdown where you can select members to give them permissions to view or edit that specific document or folder without them having access to any other documents or files.
Upload Documents to Procore
1. Open the Procore documents tool.
2. Click +New then select the relevant option.
- File Upload and Folder Upload will open a pop-up to select the file/folder you want to upload. Click the relevant option then select Open.
It may take a few minutes for large files/folders to upload.
- Create Folder will open a pop-up to enter the new folder name – then click Create
Manual uploads should be unnecessary due to the Procore-Egnyte automatic sync function. This means that you can upload your files to Egnyte and they will be synced to Procore, this is recommended over uploading directly to Procore.
