How to submit an inspection on the Procore app.
There are two ways to learn how to submit inspections on Procore.
1. Open the Procore mobile app and select the Inspections tool in the main tool page. This page shows you all of the Inspections that have been set up and how many items have been completed for each.
2. Scroll down or use the filter and search functions to find the Inspection you need if it has already been set up.
2a. If you need to set up the Inspection, tap the + in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen
Select the Inspection template from the list provided
Fill in the prompted information before tapping Create
3. Conduct the inspection by marking each item as Passed (tick), Failed (cross) or N/A.
4. Click on the item name to add details. From here you can add comments attachments (e.g. a photo of the item) or create an observation which is directly linked to an inspection item. If you fail an item you will be required to complete an observation. This is to track the resolution of the failed item. To learn how to create an observation go to here.
5. When you have completed your Inspection and are satisfied that as much detail as possible has been entered, scroll to the top of the Inspection and tap Add next to Signatures. This will bring up the projects Directory for you to select from.
6. Scroll or use the search function to add your name and your Site and/or Project Manager’s name then select Done.
7. Next to your name in the Inspection select Sign and trace your name.
This will change the Inspection status to In Review and alert the other Signees that they need to review and close out the Inspection.
Remember that ITPs are a live record of Quality Control. As such there is no wrong answer.
If there is a failed item mark it as failed so that it can be seen when it was observed and when it was then closed out. The role of the ITPs is to find all items that have failed and then fix them before closing out the Inspection.
