Folders
Create Inbox folders to keep organised.
Right click where it says Inbox on the left-hand side and select New Folder from the dropdown menu.
Type your folder name.
You can also create sub-folders by following the same process
e.g.
To move emails to a folder just click and drag the email into it.
Categories
Colour code categories.
A good way to visually keep track of what’s in your inbox is by using categories – right click on the email and select Categorize.
To create or re-name a category, click All Categories.
Select a category to rename it or change the colour, or click New to create a brand new category from scratch.
Click OK when done
Now that you have your categories, assign them by right clicking on an email, selecting Categorize, then selectin the correct category.
You can assign more than one category to an email.
When done, it will look something like this:
Categories can also be used in your Outlook Calendar.
You can do this by right-clicking on a calendar item and assigning the same way as with an email (right click on the calendar item).
Or you open the calendar item and click the Categorize dropdown.
This will make your calendar look something like this:
