Formatting

To create and move to a new page without reaching the end of the current page, do not press Enter until you reach a new page.
Instead, click Insert at the top of the page.
In the Pages section, click Page Break.

In the Layout tab you can do the following.
In the Page Setup section you can change the size of the margins around the page – this will apply to all pages in the document, not only your current page.
You can also change the page from Portrait to Landscape.
And you can change the size of the page.
You can also change the spacing between lines in the Paragraph section – the larger the number the larger the gap before/above a line and after/below a line is.

To check spelling and grammar you can either use the shortcut key F7 or you can click to the Review tab.
In the Review tab, click on the Spelling and Grammar symbol in the Proofing section.

Photos/Images – to insert an image you can either copy/paste the image into the document, or you can click to the Insert tab and click the Pictures dropdown.
Usually you will have the image saved to your computer, so click This Device and find the image you want.
When the image is in the document, click on it and select the Layout box that will appear next to it.
Alternatively you can right-click on the image and select Wrap Text from the dropdown.
Now select how you want the image to be formatted.
Generally you will want to select Square or Tight so the text fits around the image (example below), or Top and Bottom so the image sits on its own line

To turn the document as a pdf, click File.
From the provided list, select Save as Adobe PDF.
You will then be directed to select where the new PDF will be saved. Find the correct folder and click Save.
Or you can click Print (or use the ctrl + P shortcut) and change the printer from your office/site printer to Microsoft Print to PDF.
Click Print.
You will then be directed to select where the new PDF will be saved. Find the correct folder and click Save.
