The RFI tool in Procore is important to use to ensure clear and set lines of communication. This tool allows linking related items to make it easier to see the communication chain.
Note the process is the same in the mobile app and online.
1. Open the Procore RFI tool
2. Click +Create - this will take you to the RFI information page
The items marked with a * are mandatory and the rest are optional, though it is better to
have as much information as possible
- The Number* will automatically show the next number in the sequence e.g. the last issued RFI was RFI-12, this will automatically show RFI-13
- The Assignee is the person that the RFI is directed at/will need to action it
- The Distribution should always include the core CBC site team (Project Manager, Site Manager, Leading Hand, and yourself)
- When you have entered the required information click Create & Issue
- Click Save as Draft and notify the Cook Brothers Site Manager or Project Manager for them to review and issue
- When the RFI is issued, notification emails will be sent to the Assignee and the Distribution members
3. Viewing the RFI will show you the information input during creation, and will give you the option to Export to PDF
4. There will also be an Activity section below the RFI derails
The activity section is where the Assignee and Distribution members are to submit their
notes/comments/responses to the RFI
Alternatively, you can reply to the notification email directly with your response/question
- This will record your response in the Activity section of the item as follows
