Leave requests need to be completed for every leave type in a timely manner.
You need to check the dates are correct, you have the appropriate leave entitlement (e.g. enough sick leave days available to cover the time taken) and you need to give the completed request to your manager to approve.
If leave isn’t approved, or the dates and entitlement are not correct, you are likely to be given back the form to fix. Managers, please check the information you are given to approve is correct. And if someone is away, make sure they have filled in a leave request before they go on leave, or they fill one in after they return (in the case of sick leave).
