1Breadcrumb Inductions & Approvals

Inductions are used to help ensure everyone on site has the information they need to work safely. 

We use two Inductions – Offsite (Company) Induction and Site Induction.

Offsite Induction

Offsite Inductions should be completed by Trade Partners before they arrive on site – if they haven’t completed this before arriving then they need to complete it at the same time as the Site Induction. 

Site Managers should check that trade partners have completed this when they are approving the Site Induction. 

Offsite Inductions are Automatically Approved. The user isn’t able to complete the induction until they select the correct answers, so when they finish it the induction is automatically approved.

Site Induction 

The Site Manager should be overseeing trade partners when they are doing this when they first sign in and approving it then as part of the site specific introduction and induction.

Site Inductions require Host Approval – the Site Manager must approve/accept a Trade Partners Induction before they start work on site (i.e. they should check and approve the Induction at the same time as when they show the Trade Partner the site amenities etc.).

Approve an Induction 

Reviewing and approving Site Inductions can be done online or in the mobile app.

Online

Open the online version of 1Breadcrumb and select Approvals from the side menu.

The Approvals page automatically only shows Inductions that are Pending (require approval), but you can remove that filter to see already approved Inductions as well.

If you are assigned to multiple Sites, filter to only show Inductions from the relevant site by clicking the funnel symbol at the top of the Site column.

Find the Trade Partner you need and click Review.

This will bring up that persons Induction answers – scroll through to ensure they answered the questions correctly.

• If the answers are all correct, enter any comments and/or click Approve
• If any answers are wrong, click Reject and that user will need to re-do the Induction

Repeat this for every Trade Partner as they arrive on Site.

Mobile App

Open the mobile app and tap across to the Host page. Here you will see an Approvals square – tap on this.

The Approvals page automatically only shows inductions that are Pending (require approval).

• You can change the Site at the top of the page, if required

Tap Review to review and approve an Induction.

• This will bring up that persons Induction answers 

Scroll through the answers to ensure they answered the questions correctly. 

• If the answers are all correct, enter any comments and/or click Approve
• If any answers are wrong, click Reject and that user will need to re-do the Induction 

Repeat this for every Trade Partner as they arrive on Site.
