1Breadcrumb is our site attendance system set to replace WhosOnLocation.
We use 1Breadcrumb to:
- Check into and out of sites.
- Ensure people on site are properly inducted.
- Ensure any documentation required for being on site has been collected.
- Know who's on site in an emergency and run evacuations.
- Publish any site-specific announcements.
Why it's important we use 1Breadcrumb:
As a health and safety system, it's important we all use 1Breadcrumb properly to ensure the safety of persons on site, and to be compliant with NZ and ISO regulations. When used properly 1Breadcrumb shouldn't get in your way and will make your site safer.
How to get set up with the 1Breadcrumb app?
Most users will access 1Breadcrumb via the mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play or Apple App Store, or by scanning this QR code with your phone's camera app:
If searching directly from the app store then you'll find 1Breadcrumb looking like this (Android on the left, Apple on the right):
Creating your 1Breadcrumb account:
Upon first opening the app you will be prompted for you mobile number, this is how 1Breadcrumb will authenticate you, select "Yes" here:
You will receive a one-time password via SMS text message to verify your phone number.
Now set a password on your account. As your account is tied to your phone number, you will still have the option of signing in with SMS verification code:
You will then be asked if you would like to allow 1Breadcrumb to use your location.
This is a convenience and it's recommended you select "I don't need automatic check-ins":
The app will now ask for your first name, last name, and Cook Brothers email address.
This will be used behind the scenes to map your account to Procore:
You will now be in the app ready to check in to a site:
You're now ready to move on to How to sign-in to a site.
