Most users will access 1Breadcrumb simply for checking-in to sites, completing inductions, and providing any relevant documentation and licenses. As a site host however, you will be also have access to view and approve any inductions (if applicable), publish site announcements, send site alerts, perform evacuations and more.
Checking if you're a site host
If you have site host access you will see a host screen available in 1Breadcrumb, accessible via the icon at the bottom of the mobile app:
Note that if you are a host of multiple sites then you may need to hit the "Change Site" link and change to the correct site.
Functions you will be able to perform as a site host
Attendance
The live attendance feature gives you the ability to view a snapshot of everyone in-site, the inductions completed, their emergency information (if collected) and the ability to call attendees directly.
Host Check-In
As a site host you can check other people in to the site. This will essentially use your phone as a check-in kiosk where you can display the sites QR code for scanning, or have someone check-in manually and perform any inductions via your phone.
Site Announcements
This tool is for making specific announcements which can be targeted to specific user types and you can monitor if they have been viewed or not. You can upload PDFs, images or links. Site announcements can be configured so that attendees must view them when checking-in, but can also be accessible at any time. You may want to use this for information around toolbox talks or pre-starts.
Permits
We are not currently using the Permits functions.
Site Alerts
This tool is an easy way to get a simple message to every active user on site via SMS (text) message to their mobile number.
Evacuations
You can run evacuations or evacuation drills here. Once an evacuation or drill is underway you can mark people as safe or add any additional people to the evacuation roll call.
Troubleshooting
If you don't have the access you require
Permissions and roles in 1Breadcrumb are mapped from Procore. If you are not a site host and feel you should be then contact your PM, PA, or IT to request that your correct role be added to the system.
If a supplier isn't on the list?
Suppliers (Trade Partners / Sub-contractors) are also populated via Procore. When a user is checking in as a sub-contractor they will be asked to select what supplier (organization) they work for. If a supplier comes to site and they're not on that list then contact the appropriate person to add this company to the Procore project directory.
